PRINT PROJECTS & THE ENVIRONMENT

This is how we help to preserve the environment....

We encourage the use of sending files via email. If the files are too big to send you can use our FTP system. Our sales team always carry USB drives which also allow file transfer without the need for burning and wasting disks.

Our Magnus platesetter is the first system specifically designed to allow the processor-less production of printing plates. This system eliminates the need for any chemicals during the pre-press stage.

Our diverse press-room ensures that your work is printed on a Press that is suitable and efficient for the size and specification of your publication. Significant energy savings are made by accurately matching work against press capabilities.

We only use ‘eco inks’ that are environmentally-friendly but do not compromise the quality of performance. The empty tins are collected and recycled by a specialist organisation.

Press-room chemicals are kept to a minimum; they are always stored and disposed of in accordance with governmental guidelines.

Our stock papers all carry the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) logo. This is the recognised symbol that the paper is sourced from sustainable forests. All surplus paper is stored and then collected on a weekly basis for recycling.

We endeavour to schedule our deliveries in the most efficient manner, and to use external couriers when it is more appropriate. This reduces carbon pollution and keeps traffic on the road to a minimum.

We always use the minimum amount of packaging materials possible to ensure safe transit and storage of your printed documents.
